So I find it disappointing.. that I go to research illegal immigration and cannot find an unbiased site.. nor can I find a .edu site so I can be assured of the accuracy. My solution: I went to the BBC news site.. and got some plain facts.. but these facts really don't support nor refute my argument.
Illegal immigrants count for 3.6% of the population
Illegal immigrants count for 4.9% of the workforce
An estimated 11.5-12 million illegal immigrants live in the US
of which only an estimiated 6.2 million are mexican
and an estimated 5.7 million are women and children
ALSO
Steps to becoming a citizen:
Obtain an LPR
then obtain a green card
must live in the US 5 years to apply for naturalization
File an application
Take a naturalization exam
Participate in an Oath Ceremony
I don't know all the details.. but I know it's an extremely lengthy process.. it can be a fews years before your application is even reviewed. It's also an expensive process.. an application costs roughly $600 and who knows what other expenses there are. I'm not going to research it in detail.
With all of this said let me begin my argument.
I am not condoning illegal immigration. I mean it is "illegal"; therefore, it's obviously wrong and shouldn't be done. But while I say this.. I also don't condemn it. If I was living in Mexico, and I had the chance to go to the land of opportunities and make a better life for myself.. and possibly my children.. I would. Would I do it legally? Definitely not.. not when I have the chance to do it illegally. I don't have to pay taxes.. I still get health benefits. Why become a citizen? It is a lengthy process.. it takes time I don't have.. it costs money I don't have.. and I always have the chance of them denying me. Why would I risk that? I would gladly be an illegal immigrant. It's wrong.. yes. But the people shouldn't be judged so harshly for doing it.
They're not taking your jobs. Maybe you should start working longer hours for lesser money. No? Well maybe you should blame the companies for overworking poor illegal immigrants then. It's not they're fault. Everyone needs to make a living.. and that's all they're doing. It's not like they have the best of jobs.. they usually have shit jobs where people treat them bad.. they get paid next to nothing... why are you going to hate them for that? I think those companies need to stop being assholes and start thinking about their employees.
Why do illegal immigrants deserve your abuse? Give me one good reason.
Next.. don't abuse all Mexicans because they might be an illegal immigrant. That's what I like to call "racism".. which is an instant way to make me HATE YOU! Illegal immigrants shouldn't be criticized in the first place.. so definitely don't criticize an innocent person who's made an honest living because he's spanish. What's wrong with you? I'm tired of hearing people talk about hating Mexicans. Why do you hate Mexicans? Seriously.. I want to know why. What have they done to you personally? And I don't want to know what a single person who happened to be Mexican did to you.. for you to generalize like that.. it better be every mexican on the face of the planet did something to you. So what is it?
Bottom line.. don't tell me you ahte mexicans. Don't tell me you hate illegal immigrants?
Ya know what I hate.. stupid people.
Oh.. and I love people that are like "we shouldn't let anymore immigrants in period." What the hell you idiot? We all come from immigrants. This country was founded on immigration. The whole point of this country was so people could come to "the land of the free".. and escape their harsh life. To deny immigration is denying the whole purpose of this country. Let's send the statue of liberty back to france and blow up ellis island while we're at it. They've held no purpose

The Blog of many topics
Is "liberal" a poor choice of words? To be liberated is to be freed. Is it possible for one to be free when it comes to political views or just one's mentality? Aren't we all somewhat constrained to the values of society? Even if we fight it, to completely liberate oneself is impossible.
But still I continue to fight and everyday I realize yet another minor unwritten rule of society is only necessary because we were conditioned to believe so.
With that said this entry contains multiple subjects of a personal and impersonal nature.
I've worn nothing bu long sleeves since I was in the ninth grade (3 years approx) which wouldn't be a big deal if I didn't live in a place where the average temperature is 90 degrees. I went to the beach in long sleeves. I went to band camp in long sleeves (which is torture trust me). I've had to hear repeated comments from many people about how I'm insane. I've had to constantly argue with my parents and hear their whining. All because of my long sleeves. I suffered for my long sleeves and what lie beneath them. 'Cause I certainly didn't wear long sleeves for the hell of it.
We've discussed in past entry my issues with self harm. I've had issues and my arm paid for it.. and I've been wearing long sleeves to hide that. ..until now. Now I say fuck it. I wore long sleeves so people wouldn't know, but why do I care? Am I afraid people will accuse me of searching for attention? Why should I care what these people think?! Am I afraid because society teaches us to keep these things hush hush? Why is it a curse because I went through something? Why should I suffer because this isn't something people want to hear about? I don't want to shout it to the world. I preferably don't want anyone to see, but so what if they do. I don't care about these people.. so I don't see why it should matter what they see and don't see. I shouldn't have to suffer for them.. because society considers my decisions taboo. Fuck it.
Discussion 2
Is medication a cure or a curse? What is required to be diagnosed worthy of happy pills? So what if I have an unbalance in my brain? Isn't that just part of my personality? Isn't that just who I am? Wouldn't taking medication to fix that be like conforming to society? Who are these people to decide if I'm crazy? And who are they to interfere with that? It may affect my everyday living.. hell I may be unstable.. but maybe I'm meant to be this way. Is the really a problem medication is saving me from.. or are people creating the medication to turn us into sheep?
And even if there is a problem.. was has medication done to solve it? I've been taking the generic zoloft (sertraline i think it's called) for almost a year now... (well actually I stopped taking it a month ago but let's not tell my mom that).. I don't think it helped me at all. To me it increased the emptiness I've always felt.. it increased my already intense anger and dislike for myself... it increased every bad emotion except my depression. It did ease my depression.. and replaced it with a void. I felt like I sold my soul to the doctor.. I mean devil. I compromised the one part of me that felt real (my sadness).. the one part of me that reminded me how I'm still human.. and replaced it with wires.
Is medication a cure or a curse? Who considers it the cure? Who considers it the curse?
To me a mental illness is not "crazy".. there is no "crazy". Everything you feel.. from the urge to kill others.. to the voices inside your head.. anything.. can be controlled without medication. Hell have I killed anyone yet? Have I killed myself? It's a battle.. but it turns me into the person I am today.. and I still carry the "craziness" with me.. because it is my character. I don't think you should have medication to rid yourself of that.

Obama and Osama are not the same
I received an e-mail that infuriated me.. well not quite infuriated.. that's a strong word... but it annoyed me pretty badly. It was an e-mail talking about how Barack Obama may be Muslim. Not only did I find inaccuracies and unsupported accusations.. but I just found it horrible that this was such a bad thing.
Yes I know.. it was Muslim extremists who flew planes into the world trade center... but guess what! It was christian extremists who blew up abortion clinics. It's christian extremists who currently invade other countries who are vulnerable and try to force christianity on them.. as if they have no rights to decide for themselves because they are poor worthless being who deserve to be patronized.
*sigh*.. but that's off subject i guess.
You can't blame a whole group of people.. for the acts of a few. That's called stereotyping, dumbasses. That's what provokes racism and homophobia.. and makes me want to brutally destroy you. So then I hear people say.. "but victoria.. it says specifically in the Quran that if you are not of Islamic faith you should be killed." To that all I have to say it..
ARE YOU AN IDIOT? Did your mother drop you on your head as a child? Maybe you sniffed too much glue when you were in Kindergarten? or wait.. no.. Are you southern? (now to all southern people that get offended.. this is more proof that stereotyping is bad). Have you ever even read the Quran? Of course not.. because if you had.. you would know that is not at all what it says. The Quran is much like the bible and the torah.. it teaches peace and harmony.. love the sinner hate the sin sort of stuff. But of course as in any work of art.. it can be interrpreted in many ways.. and there are those extremists that believe so strongly in their faith that they kill others who disagree. It's horrible I know.. but it's everywhere.. in every faith. At least they aren't like christian missionaries. (again no offense.. and umm.. stereotyping is bad!)
Then people will say to me.. "so are you telling me victoria.. that when you see a person walking around who are obviously of the muslim faith... you don't think for a split second it may be a terrorist?" NO YOU IDIOT. I don't even notice people who are of the muslim faith.. because...
I DON"T CARE! I don't care.. what the hell you fucking look like. If I don't know you.. and you don't do anything special to stand out.. then I'm not going to pay attention. Maybe if it's some hot chick I'll notice.. haha But otherwise.. I have more important things to do than cruise the scenery for a possible muslim. And even if I notice a muslim I DON'T CARE!.. to assume everyone muslim is a terrorist.. is to assume every person is a thief, murderer, rapist.. w/e. I would never walk out of my house again. And ya know what.. if every person is a thief, murderer, rapist, or terrorist.. wtf ever.. I'm still alive aren't I? And if I get blow up.. hey life sucks.. what can I tell you? Maybe I should thank them for sparing me from spending another year.. in this fucking hell hole.
Ok.. so now onto that email (which I will paste onto the bottom of this blog). I personally like Obama.. I will not say I 100% support him until I learn more about him.. but at the moment.. he's better than any other candidate to me.. and in 2008 I will probably vote for him if I get the chance. If he is muslim... I don't care.. but I'm pretty sure he's not.. and he's actually been known to say that he believes religion runs this country way too much.. which makes him my hero. So what if he went to a muslim school? There is no proof he's muslim.. this email accuses him of being muslim (stereotyping him as a terrorist).. but states that he himself claims he was only "once" muslim. Then they state that his mother was atheist and his father was muslim. THere's no proof he's actually of the muslim faith.. and even if he is.. it doesn't matter.
"the muslims said they planned on destroying this country from the inside out"..
no they didn't... the terrorists said that. I can say that too.. it doesn't mean every white person.. or agnostic person.. or gay person said it.. it just means I did.
And now I've given myself the perfect time.. to advertise my new poem.. =]

Probable U. S. presidential candidate, Barack Hussein Obama was born in Honolulu, Hawaii, to Barack Hussein Obama, Sr., a black Muslim from Nyangoma-Kogel, Kenya and Ann Dunham, a white atheist fromWichita,Kansas.
Obama's parents met at the University of Hawaii. When Obama was two years old, his parents divorced. His father returned to Kenya. His mother then married Lolo Soetoro, a radical Muslim from Indonesia.
When Obama was 6 years old, the family relocated to Indonesia.
Obama attended a Muslim school in Jakarta. He also spent two years in a Catholic school. Obama takes great care to conceal the fact that he is a Muslim.
He Is quick to point out that, "He was once a Muslim, but that he also attended Catholic school." Obama's political handlers are attempting to make it appear that Obama's introduction to Islam came via his father, and that this influence
was temporary at best.
In reality, the senior Obama returned to Kenya Soon after the divorce, and never again had any direct influence over His son's education. Lolo Soetoro, the second husband of Obama's mother, Ann Dunham, introduced his stepson to Islam.
Obama was enrolled in a Wahabi school in Jakarta. Wahabism is the radical teaching that is followed by the Muslim terrorists who are now waging Jihad against the western world.
Since it is politically expedient to be a Christian when seeking
Major public office in the United State s, Barack Hussein Obama has joined the United Church of Christ in an attempt to downplay his Muslim background.
Let us all remain alert concerning Obama's expected presidential candidacy. Please forward to everyone you know. The Muslims have said they plan on destroying the US from the inside out, what better way to start than at the highest level.

Actions or Intentions?
This is going to be a personal post.. if you don't like it
get over it.
I'm tired of living the life I"m living. I've dug myself a hole, and I have to climb out before it gets too deep. It's already begun. The choices I make are not even choices I like or agree with.. so why do I make them? They weigh on my conscience and seem to work out at first then stab me in the back in the end. And now it's left me soooo angry.. that it's hard to sustain it. I hate everything. I hate most of my "friends". I hate the people I crush on. I hate the bad habits I've picked up. I need to push away and start changing now.
I'm giving up smoking.. and already I feel sick. This happened to me in NY too.. I thought I was just actually getting sick.. but it's coincidently been the two times I've quit smoking. I hope I can do it.
I'm giving up drugs.. which won't be hard at all.
And I'm giving up the people that negatively influence me and fuck me over.
Charlie made a point last night when we talked about backstabbing people.. and how they're not worth forgiving..
now what I must work on is pushing them away. And that I will.
I'm not the bad kid.. that does bad things.. and negatively influences others.. I don't know why I convinced myself I was. I'm the kid that makes good grades.. has very high goals.. never makes enemies.. and will help anyone in need. I don't want to be judged for my actions.. but instead understood for my intentions. I'm tired of feeling like a failure. I even dream about it all the time.. that I get caught doing something.. and I disappoint those I love. It's a pressure I can no longer handle.
In an attempt to be understood.. I've become more misunderstood than ever.
I personally believe you can't judge someone for their actions.. it's their intentions that matter.. if you have good intentions your actions can be forgiven. That's what keeps me going.. and keeps me from holding grudges (though I never forget when someone does me wrong). If my intentions are so good though.. I think it's time to straighten up my actions.
I can't go out like Tracy.. I've always wanted that.. but I can't.. I'm not a tragedy yet.
I wish I could start over.. escape to a place where no one knows me.. remove the disguise.. and live as me.
get over it.

Morning After Pill
Before I begin I must state this... I hate ignorance.. and I hate people who disagree with my opinion due to ignorance. With abortion though.. I may strongly disagree with the opinions of others.. but I can respect their opinions sometimes because there is one that is ignorance free.
The problem with abortion.. is the argument of "where does life begin?" If you believe life begins at conception.. I understand why you're against it..c ause you do not want to kill a human being. Though I disagree with you.. I can respect that.... unless you start bombing abortion clinics.. cause then you're just a moron. (I mean seriously.. how can you use murder as a method to protest murder? common sense people..)
But anyways.. now to todays subject.. the morning after pill.
Emergency contraception (also known as the morning-after pill) is a high dosage of the birth control pill. It is recommended to be used after sexual intercourse, over a period of 72 hours, to achieve the goal of preventing (or ending) pregnancy. There are three different ways birth control pills are currently being promoted for this use: progesterone alone, estrogen alone, or both of these artificial steroids together.
The two main controversies about the mornings after pill is "for one thing, there seems to be some misinformation that it is really an anti-abortion - or, rather, an abortion-inducing pill, which it is not; it doesn't cause an abortion. It actually interferes with fertilization or with ovulation. It's a contraceptive, some confusion about that.
But then there is the problem of increased promiscuity. I used to consider this a problem.. that by making contraceptives available.. it is encouraging promiscuity. Then I realized that was wrong. It is instead teaching the kids out there who will not listen to Abstinence is Cool lectures.. it's better to be safe than sorry and since you are going to have sex.. make sure you don't fuck up.
But then I realized.. that too was wrong. To believe that is to still believe premarital sex is wrong. And I don't. Guess what.. I'm gay.. which means there's no marriage in my future. And even if marriage is a broad term which includes commitments and long term relationships (not in the governments eyes of course *glares*) what's so wrong with NOT waiting? So what if it's not a social norm? I despise social norms.. it's being told to do something because people were told to do it by people who were told to do it by people who were told to do it x1000 years. What is truly wrong about pre marital sex? I can understand the argument about some people not being mature enough to handle it.. but what about those who are? I can understand the increase in STD.. but how about teaching caution? I can understand the pregnancy rates but HELLO.. morning after pill. What else is so wrong about it? Religion? Not all people are religious. No.. the only thing wrong is "it's not a social norm" *that is to be said in a whiny voice btw*. If you want to be promiscuous be promiscuous. I know I'm hedonistic.. deal with it. I don't think it's a big deal.. and if there can be a pill that ensures women don't fuck up their lives.. THANK GOD!
Banning the morning after pill is just one more way to supress women. Man are welcome to explore their sexuality.. but women must raise children and cook man dinner. We're not living in the 50's... read the awakening! If a man can be a whore.. why can't a woman? What is with the double standard? And if promiscuity is such a huge problem.. why isn't viagra banned? Dumbass.
As the wise margaret cho once said
"I never had access to a morning after pill and that didn't stop me from fucking my way through the usa"

There are three different ways birth control pills are currently being promoted for this use: progesterone alone, estrogen alone, or both of these artificial steroids together.
The emergency contraceptive/morning-after pill has three possible ways in which it can work (as does the regular birth control pill):
- Ovulation is inhibited, meaning the egg will not be released;
- The normal menstrual cycle is altered, delaying ovulation; or
- It can irritate the lining of the uterus so that if the first and second actions fail, and the woman does become pregnant, the human being created will die before he or she can actually attach to the lining of the uterus.

The other source of concern among social conservatives has been in making it broadly available, especially among younger teenagers, if you were to make it available over the counter, would lead to greater sexual promiscuity among teenagers."
In some ways I can see how it could be considered an "abortion inducing pill".. due to the possible way it can prevent pregnancy (possible way 3). If you believe when a sperm and egg interact.. life is immediately created... this could be a problem. I refuse to delve into this too deeply because the argument of abortion requires it's own blog post, but I will touch on the subject lightly. When a woman miscarries.. it is not considered a death.. there is no death certificate.. for there was also no birth certificate.. there is no funeral.. there is no body.. there is no proof of life.. there is also no proof of any suffering, feeling, and there are definitely no vital organs. It does not breath.. it does not bleed.. it is an egg... hell we eat scrambled eggs for breakfast. To say that preventing the egg from latching on to the uterus is murder.. makes no sense to me. Therefore this is indeed not an abortion inducing pill at all.. it actually prevents the need for abortion.. so if anything conservatives should be worshiping this amazing advancement in medicine.

Self Harm
Self-harm (SH) is deliberate injury inflicted by a person upon his or her own body without suicidal intent.
There are many forms of self harm.. some people even fail to consider as self harm. I personally think it's one of the most misunderstood things out there. Oddly enough.. some people have adopted it as some sort of trend.. which is honestly something I can't criticize someone for, but is what causes some of the misunderstanding.
People assume a self injurer is someone screaming for attention.. who harms themself then shouts it to the world. Yes, that is the case sometimes. Others consider it something very private and personal.. that no one would ever admit to. I believe that is also the case sometimes. But in my opinion self harm is also.. tattoos .. self harm is drinking and smoking... getting into fight.. there are so many forms. I've noticed that when someone cuts themselves and shows it off.. people are like "gah what a poser..".. but if someone is like "hey look at this tattoo I carved into my wrist" everyone things it's so awesome.
I've been in those categories before. I've been at the point where I'm like "i really wish people would stop saying they cut themselves.. it's offensive for the people who are sensitive about it"
Then I realized.. the phases I've gone through in my life.
Yes.. I used to be a cutter.. the truth is I don't think you ever stop.. it will always be inside you.
I used to do it because I was sad.. the world sucks and I need to inflict as much pain on myself as possible.. and if anyone talked about it I would feel so uncomfortable. But then something changed in me.. the cause of my injuries weren't sadness anymore. It was amusement. I began doing it because I was bored.. or it made me smile.. or I just craved the pain. Instead of hurting myself on bad days.. I would do it on good days instead. And I began realizing.. the people who do it for the hell of it.. aren't posers at all... they're just people.. and it's something they enjoy. I used to be ashamed of doing it.. and I still am.. but at the same time I realize.. no one has the right to judge me. I shouldn't have to suffer through 100 degree weather in a long sleeve shirt for fear I'll be labeled a "poser" or someone who needs psychiatric help.
There's been an argument about whether self harm is a medical illness.. for a long time. But to classify self harm as an illness.. you have to give smokers therapy.. and people who drink.. people who excercise to relieve stress.. and people who meditate... because the intention is the same for all. It helps people feel better.. and if it's done right.. it causes no long term harm.. or at least not lung cancer or a bad liver. It is stereotyped as bad.. but just because it's not a social norm doesn't mean it's horrible. People are quick to judge without realizing why they are doing it.
I refuse to judge someone because they hurt themselves.. I would gladly help them through their bad time but I will not judge. And for those who truly do do it because they think it causes attention.. I only pity them because they are as ignorant as those who stereotype. They do not know what it does.. why it's done.. and what they have gotten themselves into. And I will gladly help them out.
Maybe the people who want the attention... need it. Everyone has their own story.
Instead of judging people should listen. It gets a lot more done.

BEWARE AMERICA...
..seems your children aren't safe.
The world was bad enough when plagued by Judaism.. but now we face a much more severe problem.... lesbian gangs.
Thank god Bill O' Reilly was here to inform us of this terrible problem. He begins his segment.. by stating that "29-year-old Wayne Buckle was attacked by a lesbian gang here in New York City last August. Four of the women received prison sentences (O Reilly)." What he fails to mention was that "…[one of the women] told the Daily News that Buckle "called us [homophobic slur] and he said he was going to f— us all." Said another: "He spit on us and threw a cigarette."
If someone did that to me.. I can't promise I wouldn't attack him myself.
O' Reilly then continues by speaking of two "dangerous" lesbian gangs.. GTO (gays taking over) and DTO (dykes taking over). These groups "terrorize" and "rape young girls".. and some are known for carrying pink pistols. (ok first off.. who the fuck would carry a pink pistol?! I mean if I'm gonna be overwhelmingly gay I'm gonna do it right and at least sport a rainbow gun. But pink??? I don't even own ANYTHING pink). Yes, O' Reilly was right about one thing.. there is such a group as DTO.. and there have been interviews with members who clearly state it is not a gang at all.. but just a way for lesbians to identify themselves and stick together. I would have to say that is the ONLY thing O' Reilly was right about though.
O' Reilly then welcomes Rod Wheeler a (in my opinion questionable) "fox crime analyst" who explains that "over 150 gangs or crews" can be found just in DC alone. These "gangs" have been known to force kids (from ages 10 and up) to perform sex acts. I would fear for those kids if Wheeler seemed like even somewhat of a reliable source. Instead though he only clearly shows bias, homophobia, and inaccuracy.
Let me begin by stating that I am not denying there are lesbians out there that harrass others.. or rape others.. or commit any other violent acts.. but this is not because they're lesbians.. it's because they're human. Though I'm sure a lesbian has once sexually assaulted someone.. "97% of pedophiles are male (afterellen.com)." Shouldn't we show some concern towards this? And as for lesbians terrorizing others.. have we forgotten the oppression gay/lesbian, multiracial, and other religions have gone through for years? Of course, we turn our backs to the abuse of the poor muslim girl who everyone assumed was a terrorist.. or the gay man who had the nerve to hold hands with his bf in public. These people obviously deserved harrassment.. but not the poor straight girl. Not the man who spit on those girls and threw a cigarette at them for being gay in NY. No.. these people were innocent victims of a sinful gang of lawless gay people.
"it makes sense that, if you had lawless gay people, they would do this kind of thing, but you don't associate it, you associate homosexuality more with a social movement, not a criminal movement".. thank god for you bill o'reilly because you have truly opened my eyes to this horrible criminal movement that not only abuses straight people but " indoctrinates them into homosexuality."
I have to admit that this distasteful segment did give me a few chuckles at least.. especially with the pink pistols (which is actually a non violent gun organization like the NRA).. but at the same time it instills me with a horrible fear (and not of these lawless gay people). I fear the people who don't find O'Reilly bias, homophobic, and inaccurate.. the people who are at this moment researching a cure to homosexuality.. the people who killed Matthew Shepherd. Is this new millenium a turning point for gay rights or the start of the new holocaust? I mean.. someone has to find the answer to the "Gay Question" eventually right?
Random fact of the day:
"A recent national survey by the Gay, Lesbian and Straight Education Network indicated that four of five gay, lesbian and bisexual students reported that they had been verbally or physically harassed in school."
Where's the O' Reilly segment on that?
